Welcome to my website! My name is Xander Koo (he/they). I'm a Ph.D. candidate in Human-Centered Computing in the School of Interactive Computing at Georgia Tech, advised by Dr. Amy Bruckman. In my research, I examine how workers use technology to communicate with one another, and more broadly, how HCI researchers and practitioners can contribute to the design and development of worker-centered technologies. Before coming to Tech, I graduated from Pomona College (chirp chirp!) in 2021, where I majored in Computer Science & minored in Asian Studies. I'm also a member of United Campus Workers of Georgia (part of CWA Local 3821). Outside of research, I love cooking and am a big hip-hop/street dance nerd. I also collect weird houseplants!
under construction!
